Let's get the Seligs out of Baseball!

I'm SICK of America's favorite pastime being tainted by this steroids (performance enhancing drugs) garbage. And the solution....get the Seligs out of baseball!

Look: I'm not placing the blame solely on Bud Selig's shoulders for where we are with the sport today. But reality is that the problem is so far out of control that the only way to save the sport from turning into the next Hockey is a complete overhaul...starting from the TOP! You've heard it before -baseball is a business. And we've seen it before that when a business begins to spiral out of control, they chop the head off and try to save the rest.
I appreciate what Bud's done for the sport during his time at the top (wild card/interleague play/world baseball classic), and I know he's tried to get his arms around this steroid fiasco by commissioning the Mitchell Report, etc... but the sport is just too far gone.
The only way to save it at this point is for Bud to step aside and allow a new face to come in and set a whole new tone. ZERO TOLERANCE!

I say every player should be tested before every game. You test positive...YOU'RE OUT!

Go Phil!

Look: I'll admit I blew the Tiger prediction (yes - his +4 finish indicates that I was dead wrong). However, given the news that was just given to Phil's family (wife has cancer), it would only be fitting that we all pull for him in the Open. I'm on board!
I pray that her situation will one day turn into a story of survival that won't be able to help but spread like wildfire with Phil's superstar status. And I hope that Phil's performance is one that'll be unforgetable (much like's Favre's after the news of his Father's passing).

Stanley Cup

Well... Congrats to the Penguins! Let me just say that while hockey is no-doubt the least popular of the 4 major sports...there is no trophy that will ever compare to the Stanley Cup. Simply put, hoisting the Stanley Cup is the greatest honor in all of sports!

Tiger domination is through

So...will Tiger ever dominate the tour like the days of old? NO!

Actually... I'm quite excited about it! Don't get me wrong, I'm a Tiger fan through and through. However, the rationalle behind Tiger's lack of future PGA domination is quite exciting for us true Tiger faithful.
See, what the 'outsiders' fail to realize is that the seemingly meaningless decision to take the rest of the year off following Tiger's 2008 US Open victory wasn't just a recovery decision...it was the beginning of a new chapter in Tiger's history book.
Noone can deny that up til this point, Tiger has been focused on dominating EVERY tour event to the best of his ability. Noone can focus like Woods, and I'm sure Elin would tell you that at times, it's simply too much. However, as he pushed through a horribly painful injury and battled out his last 2008 tour win in true Tiger fashion...after all was said and done, Tiger said, "the Tiger of old is done. It's time for chapter 2."
What's exciting about chapter 2 is that it outlines what I'm terming, "Tiger Infinity." What? you ask. Well...let's just say that Tiger didn't exactly waste his "time off" during the almost year long recovery. Yes, of course he spent time with his wife and kids, but additionally he spent countless hours laboring over the designs for the first of (hopefully) many Tiger Woods designed golf courses. Three of them to be exact.
Tiger has finally realized that while he'll likely own every PGA record before he's done; life as a PGA icon goes far beyond the records. It's all about the clothing lines, foundations, and GOLF COURSES. Tiger finally gets it. Perhaps it was divine intervention on behalf of his Father, or perhaps he's finally just getting it. Either way, I'm excstatic about where Tiger is going from here. i can't wait to play his courses...and I can't wait to see him dominate Bethpage this June!
