Crabtree

Look: Is Crabtree ever going to play? In my opinion, his holdout is a crime! I remember Roger (Goddell) talking about potentially putting a cap on Rookie earnings the first year, and I think this is a clear indication of his need to re-energize said topic. The fact that an NFL team can essentially waste a first round draft pick on a guy who refuses to play because he's not being offered $5 Billion a year (despite the fact that he's NEVER PLAYED A DOWN IN THE NFL) is pathetic. It essentially makes the draft invalid. Okay, so Detroit didn't take him last year...well, now they can probably just pick him up next year. That's a crime. Let's put a $3 Million cap on rookies.

Okay...so Favre's back

Look,
I'm psyched to see Favre back in the game (again), and I think the Vik's are a good fit. It's either feast or famine for the Vik's this year though. You've got one of the greatest QBs of all time (who also happens to lead the NFL in INTs) coupled with the best RB in the league (who also happen to lead the NFL in fumbles). Could be great, could be terrible. I'll be watching either way!

Vick in Philly

Look: We all knew Vick was going to be back in the NFL sooner than later. I'll admit, I never thought it would have been to the Eagles though. Here's my new theory on the Philly plan: Keep Vick through this season and let him learn the playbook/get back in shape. Then in next year's draft, trade McNabb to the Lions for the #1 draft pick (hey...it's the Lions...they'll probably go for it). Vick gets the starts, and has the #1 draft pick (Crabtree) to throw to. Anyone else on board?

What the heck Tiger?

Look: I know I said I was excited for what was to come for Tiger from here on out, but...WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT?!?! Yes, I'm talking about his PGA performance. I'm sorry, but Tiger lost that all by himself. He was playing like he had a skirt on last Sunday! Laying up on par-5s? 3-putting par-3s? I can understand protecting the lead, but when you start playing so conservative that your "Sunday Red" shirt begins to turn pink, perhaps it's time to step it up a bit.
