Not sure if you're aware, but San Diego is my team (MLB and NFL).
LOOK: The Loss of LT has been a long time coming. I called for his [long overdue] trade in last year's off season...unfortunately, the Chargers didn't take my call. Now he's been given his papers and is out walking the streets - SAD.
While I'll always wonder what could have been had Tomlinson not sat on the sidelines on 20 Jan, 2008 and watched his team fall apart in the AFC title game against the Patriots, I wont criticise. The Chargers literally built a team around Tomlinson, and rightfully so. In just 9 years of play, LT has put together quite a resume: NFL's all time single season record holder for touchdowns (31), rushing touchdowns (28), most points scored (186), most consecutive games with a rushing touchdown (18), and most consecutive multi-touchdown games (8). The list goes on for at least another mile.
But, more importantly than the records...LT made the Chargers fun to watch again, and brought life back to their fan-base. Thanks LT, you will be missed!

Favre's Destiny!?!?
Look: While I'll admit I was pulling for Favre last night, I honestly couldn't have imagined it going down any differently. As sad as it was to see yet another Super Bowl bid literally get thrown away with a Brett Favre interception, how else was it supposed to go down? He threw away his team's chances in the NFC Division Playoff vs. the Eagles, and then bombed a sure Packer Super Bowl berth vs. the Giants to (what we thought) end his career for good. Now....third time's a charm - in the NFC Title Game, a perfect strike to the men in black vs. the Saints (too bad the Vik's were wearing white last night).
Brett....it's time to walk away compadre. There's no question that you're a first ballot hall-of-famer, and as much as it's got to hurt to know your last act in the NFL was an I.N.T. that cost you a shot at the Super Bowl (again)...just accept it; you're the NFL's ALL TIME greatest at throwing interceptions - this is your destiny! We'll see you (and your record) in Canton soon.
